This weekend the annual dollhouse and embroidery fair was held in Stavanger.

And I was there Yay!!
I was so eager to get to may class on friday,
that I completely forgot my camera.

Josje from the Netherlands was having a

class in how to make a french bed.
She is a very talented lady and I have participated
one of her class before,which you can see here

It was a lot of work and a lot of sanding and lots of fun :D

Ron´s Miniature in Orlando

It´s been two weeks now since I got

back from our family vacation in Orlando,Florida.

We had a great time visiting Disney world and Universal Studio.

But what I was looking forward to was to visit Rons Miniature shop.

The Kitchen

I took some picture of my little kitchen today. Been a while since I have been working on my dollhouse. I`m mostly occupied with my sewing at the moment.

Today I`ve reorganized little bit and put some new furniture in there. Still missing some pieces, like some new lamps and moldings. But as allways I`m in no hurry . I`m just enjoying the moment. :D

A doll carriage

Last Wednesday, I participated a get together with friends at the norwegian dollhouse forum. This time we were going to make this cute little doll carriage. I found the tutorial HERE

It`s made of cardbord and fabric.

It was fun to make, but I won`t start a mass production of these right away. When I was done, there was more glue on me than on the doll stroller LOL!!

And lucky me, I had this cute little doll, and she fits right in the doll carriage :D

Last Thursday I made these two basket, together with some friends at the norwegian dollhouse forum.

Both baskets are made of paper. Little bit fiddling at first, but once you got the hang of it, it was quite easy. I will make some more of these later on.Maybe try some difference color.

The first day of a new year.

I wanted to show you these two quilts and the pillowcases I made for Mimmi and Siv in the advendt calender. They are both sewn by sewingmachine and the squares is by half inch square.

The blue one Mimmi got for her calender swap.

And the red one Siv got in her swap :D

I enjoyed making these quilts and will try to make some more.

I had them displyed in the quiltstore where I work, before wrapping them in. And I got all kinds of reaction on them, mostly good ones, but some strange one too. One lady ment I had too much time on my hand,since I was able to make these. Well, you can`t please them all LOL!!

Hope you all had a joyfull new years celebration with friends and family last night. I sure did :D

Today and the last day of the calender gift was from Mimmi. She had made me this cute little rocking horse and some flowers. And she put in some fabric as wel. And as a quilter I just love them :D

On the 11. of december I got the cutes thing from Siv in the calendergift. A beautiful blanket, a teddybear and the cutes little baby booties ever :D

On 12. of desember Mimmi made me this christmas storybook,a cheesecake and a tree. I don`t have a christmas tree in my dollhouse, so I`m thinking off decorate this one :D

A Visit To Miniseum

Once again I have spendt my summer vacation in Denmark. It`s allways good to be back “home” :D. I love spending my vacation in Denmark even if its just for one week. There is allways someting to do for the whole familiy.

And this year as well I had desided I wanted to visit Birthe at Miniseum. It`s always a joy to see all the fun and beautiful things to buy in her store.I had even prepared a list, to make sure I didn`t forget anything.

I could have been there all day, but whith a husband waiting in the car….well, I guess we`ve all been there LOL!!

The Bedroom

I have been doing some work in my mini- bedroom these last days. It `s been a mess for quit some time and it was time to clean it up. I have put in a new floor( didn`t like the old one) and paintet the furniture white.

The quilt is made by me, and the ottoman and hatbox is made by Janne.

The chair is made by me and the lamp and flower is made by Christel. And the knittet jacket is made by Solveig Marie(no blog)

The closet and corset is made by me.

There is still a lot more to be done, but I am pleased the way it turned out be so far.

About a week ago I got mail from Italy. My kids was very impressed that I got mail from Italy, seens we don`t know anyone from that area.

I have been so fortunate to adopt a teacozy from Rosanna, La stanza di giuggiola. Isn`t it pretty.

Rosanna: I haven`t found a the right spot for it yet, but I will :D

It`s been a long time since I`ve done any minis , therefor I haven`t been bloging for awhile. And also because I didn`t feel like bloging. I just felt I needed a breake from it all.

But this weekend has been all about minis :D

I was one of the lucky ones to be invited to Janne`s cabin for a full mini-weekend. Josje came all the way from Netherlands to teach us how to make her version of Louis XV Fauteuil chair.

I had no idea how much work it was, and I am still not finnished with my chair. I have some trimming left. Therefor I will show U my chair another day :D

Tuesday was our monthly clubmeeting again and we were going to try to make these tiny cupcakes . As some of you might remember, I bought Christel`s DVD and cupcake mold a couple of month ago.

We met at Anne Mari`s place, and she had made these very tasteful cupcakes for us to eat while we were working.

The Quilt-Store

My dream has always been to have my very own quilt-store. But since I started to work in a quiltstore about two years ago, I have put my dream aside. Becouse I couldn`t have ask for a better job than the one I have now. I am in fabric heaven. And my boss is the best. So why not make one in miniature instead. LOL!! And of course I had to put my name on it. :)

It`s not finished yet, there are still a lot of things to do, but I had to finish the front so it could be a part of the exebition.

I am very pleased with it and the way it turned out.

The note on the door says “openinghours”

It`s importen that the customer knows theire visiting houres. LOL!!!:)

I took a class with Solveig Marie Gulbrandsen, on how to make a corset. Solveig Marie is such a great teacher and she is full of ideas on how to do things.

And here it is, all finished up ( thanks heaven for tacy glue :)

This weekend I have been to a miniature show in my hometown, Stavanger. It was great meeting new and old friends who shares the same passion for mini`s like I do. I also went to some classes, but first I will show you some great pictures from our dollhouse exhibition.

Back from my holiday.

Vis fullstendig album

Time just flies in the summertime. I thougth I would do more blogging at this time of year,but that didn`t happen.

I`ve just come back from our vacation. We drove thru Sweden, Spend like two nights there before we drove of to Copenhagen. We went shopping and sightseing and of course we had to visit Tivoli.This huge carnival in the center of Copenhagen.I love Copenhagen, and I hope this was not my last visit. After three days there, we where on the road again.

Our finial destination was Løkken, where we had hire a summerhouse for a whole week. My sister and her family was there , and we had a great time there as well.

In Denmark I visit Miniseum. Sorry no picture inside or of the things I bought. I simpley lost track of time while I was shopping and talking to Lady who owned the shop. Kids and husband was waiting for me in the car. Thank heaven for DS game LOL!!!

When I got home, I started to renovate my dollhouse dinnerroom.

Miniature-friends

Yesterday I had som Miniature-friends over for some workshop. Anne Mari,who has a great web-site. She has some beautiful dollhouses to show you. And Janne, who just started her new blog.

So please take a few min. and pop over to the both of them and say hi.

We made some mini-can made of paper. We found the tutorial at Marlies blog. And this is what we manage to make, between all the talking and browsing the nett for minis and just having a good time.

These two are the one I manage to make. Now I have to find a spot for them in my dollhouse. That shouldn`t be a problem.

The Quilt

Wow it`s been more than two months since my last blogging. But I manage to finish my 3 bunads in time.*glad*

I have been working on and off on this little quilt for some time now. It`s not quit done yet, but no more little squares to be sewn.These squares are 1/2x1/2” and the full size of the quilt is 5x6” and it is all handmade.

Still no mini`s from me. I`m still working on my bunads.
So insted I wanted to show this little video my daughter made and put on youtube. Its about our beautiful familiy dog, Tanya!These are photos she has taken (on my digitalcamera) over the years . She used Photoshop to put it all together.

Tanya is a mixed breed between Sheatland sheepdog and Collie. She is 8 years old and still playfull and fun since the first day we got her. We all love her so much!

I just love this little cactus. It`s so adorable :)
I`m making a quiltshop i miniature and I`m gonna put it in there.
And no, it has nothing to do with the fact, that I am actually working in a quiltshop in RL, named Kaktus Quilts *smile* :)

I ordered these things from Matlock Miniatures in England. I`m very pleased with the ordering, from this miniature shop, and I had it in my mailbox whitin one week.

OT: Norwegian Heirloom

This has nothing to do with miniature, but I wanted to show you what I`m busy doing these days. I`m making bunads for costumers.

I have two, which have to be finished by end of April for the young girls confirmation.It takes many houres to finish just one, and I have to be focused on making these,

so there is little time for minis.*sad*

But I have to admitt, I like making these dresses. I don`t do the embrodery, but I sew them together.I think they are beautiful and they tell us who we are. I`m also planning on making one in miniature............. one day:)

Each part of Norway has they very own bunad, that tells them where they come from.

This is my daughter in her very own bunad.

I made it last May of 2008, for her Confirmation Day.

Titanias Palace

When I first saw Titanias Palace in Legoland, Denmark, I was amazed. It was so beautiful and so huge. It took 30 years to complete the dollhouse and it is extremely detailed.Books you can read and piano that works.

I didn`t spend much time in the room where it was placed, because the kids wanted to go play....well whith the legos of course LOL. They didn`t have time to wait for theire Mom to explore the dollhouse. A couple of years later, we went back to Legoland for our summerholiday, and it was still there. So Mom got see the dollhouse again. Now my kids are to old to go to Legoland and I don`t want go back there either. Titanias Palace has been moved to another part of Denmark. Luckily I can watch it on youtube, and I hope you will enjoy it too :)

Before christmas I didn`t do much minis. Therefore, my little pause. :)

I decided I wanted to do a total makover in the kitchen area.

Kitchen was the first I did when I started my dollhouse addiction for so and so many years ago. I had no knowledge off what to do and how to do things.

And I used what ever I had in sight.

This is what it looks like at the moment. New floor and new wallpaper.

was the monthley dollhouse meeting again.

It is allways fun to meet the others,

to see what they have been doing since the last time we met.

This time Tone ,from Bitteliten, tough us how to do silk-embroderie.

I whish I had rememberd to bring my camera,

and taken some photos of all the pillows that were made.

They were all so beautiful, and I can tell you that those roses are really hard to make. :))

Som de fleste av dere som leser dukkehusbladet "Ett Dukkehjem" har sikkert fått med seg at bladet legges ned. Jeg ble virkelig lei meg da jeg hørte dette. Syntes det var ett av de beste dukkehusbladene som fantes. Men har full forståelse for at Synnøve har tatt denne avgjørelsen. Tror ikke det var en lett avgjørelse.

Idag oppdaget jeg at hun har begynt å blogge istedet. JuHuuu!!!

A while back I bought this sett off furniture.

But I didn`t like the fabric, so I have spendt some days now to put on some new fabric.

The table will also be paintet, soon I hope *smile*

I have been to a miniture show this weekend. And I will show you some picture form there the next couple of days.
It`was actually a combination of embroderi, dollhouse and teddybear fair.
And the first one in Norway, so this was huge for us miniaturist here in Norway. And it was a succex. Everybody I have spooken to have had a great time.
On saturday I went to two difference classes.
One "how to make fimo-cakes" classes. And here you can see the result of it. Have that in mind, its my first attempt :)

It was a great class and I did learn a lot. Now I just have to keep on making fimo cakes so I wont`forget everything I`ve learned so far LOL!!

My next class was how to make purses.
Our teacher was a wonderful and talented lady named Cilla, from Sweden

Purses are fun to make, and I will try to make some on my own for sure :)

A gift from Island

Friday when I got home from work,there was a package waiting for me in the mail, all the way from Island. How cool is that. I never been to Island, but I do hope one day I get to see this beautiful country. It was from Kristin, whom I gotten to know from a Norwegian dollhouse forum.
Inside was this beautiful shelf, handmade by Kristin herself. She is a wonderwomen when it comes to scrollsaw and she makes all kinds of beauiful miniature furniture. She even made the books out of woods.

Kristin had also included some postcard from her hometown, marking her house. Now I know where she lives........ *smile* Before you know it,I`ll bee on your doorstep....hehe...

She also send me three timbles from Island, to my surprice. I didn`t have any from Island. She had been to my other blog. reading, were I happen to tell that I was collecting thimbles. It is not a very large collection, 55 in all. But they are all mine *smile*

As you can see, there is room for more.

I found some nice miniature in a local toy-store. And this is what I bought.

I just had to have this white and blue china

And some furniture. I only wanted the table, but it was a sofa set,

so I had to by the whole thing.

Looking at it now, it`s not too bad. I might put some new fabric on the sofa.

And this cute little guitar for the girls-teenager room.

There is this blog I visit almost every day. It`s called Casey`s minis . She blogs every day, and every day there is a new story( ..unlike me, sorry)
I also love her tutorials, and when I saw these cute little sandals, I knew I had to make some of my own.

They were fun to make...and I will make some more later on.

I`m also working on some embrodery. This is my first attempt on making a carpet. I`ve done pillows before, which is quick to do.

I just hope my eyes will be whith me all the time, because this is so tiny...LOL!!

I`ve also been doing some shopping from overseas. The dollar being so low at the moment, suits my wallet just fine, LOL!!!

I bought this tool , easy cutter ,at Miniatures.com. I `m putting a new wooden floor in my dollhouse, and using the easy cutter, made it much easier.

I have also bought some new furniture to the bathroom. this is from reutters porselaine.

Endelig er bladet kommet som vi har ventet på. Og det var nydeligt som det alltid er. Ble spesielt begeistret for Ralph Lauren stilen som vises på forsiden. Og mer flotte bilder inni bladet.

Og midt inni bladet var repotasjen om dukkehusklubben vår *stolt*

Once again we have had our monthley club meeting, and this time we were at Janne`s place.

It is always nice to see what they are making and this time there were some new Ladies there too. One of the ladies, Linda, showed us a beautiful bedlinnen that she made from scratch.

Janne, which unfortunately doesn`t have a blog, or else I would have put in a link right here. But she does have some very nice thing, and this is some of the pics I took that evening.

As you can see, Janne NoBlog has a very good taste in her choice of miniatures .LOL!!

Jeg har det fremdeles veldig travelt, og derfor blir det ikke så mange oppdateringer her inne på minatyr siden min. Jeg syr fortiden på bunad til min datter og forbereder konfirmasjonen hennes som skal være i mai. Også har jeg to jobber som jeg og må priortere. Men har sagt opp den ene, så jeg håper at ting blir litt roligere etterhvert.

I`m still very busy in RL, therefore I`m a bit behind on my opdates. I`m working on my daughters bunad(norwegian national costume), which is a lot of work, and I`m also making things ready for her Confirmasjon in May. At the moment I `m also working inbetween two jobs.

Men når jeg har litt tid til overs, har det gått litt ut over visa kortet mitt LOL!!

Her har jeg kjøpt ett nytt hus på tilbud fra USA. har også bestilt litt andre småting, men det vil gå noen uker før jeg får dem

But what I do have time to inbetween, is using my visa card on the internet LOL!!

Which resulted in me bying this new house on sale, from the USA. I haven`t tryed this type of house before, so I`m very eager to get startet. I have also ordered some other tiny things, but it will take a couple of week before I get them in the mail.

Igår var det igjen treff i Miniatyr-klubben vår. Og den ble ganske så spesiell,fordi vi hadde besøk av Synnøve fra Ett Dukkehjem. Hun hadde lyst til å skrive om den kjekke klubben vi har her i Stavanger området og selvfølgelig fikk hun lov til det *smile*. Utrolig koselig dame med en sjarmerende bergens-dialekt. Tusen takk for at du tok deg turen ned hit, Synnøve, det var veldig koseligt å få hilse på deg og jeg håper du koste deg også!

Yesterday it was our monthley club meeting again.

A lady from a norwegian dollhouse magazin,

came to do a story about our miniature club. Isn`t that something.

Her name is Synnøve and she started this rather

new magazin "Ett Dukkehjem" about a year ago.

We had a great time, she took some pics and did some interview of each and one of us.

Her sitter Synnøve i full konsentrasjon mens Signy( også en koselig bergensdame,som har forvillet seg til Stavanger :-D ) tegner og forteller.

Nå er det bare å vente til Bladet kommer ut for salg. Jeg kommer nok til å skrive om det og,

så ikke vær redde....dere får det nok med dere, enten dere vil eller ikke LOL!!

Vi var hos Anne Mari denne kvelden og som vanlig var det mange sukk og stønn over de flotte tingene hun lager. Det blir ikke så mye dukkehus på meg for tiden, der er så mye annet i det RL som må priorteres for tiden. Det kan dere lese om på min andre blogg hvis dere har lyst. Men i forrige uke hadde vi møte igjen i dukkehusklubben (takk for at jeg har noe å se frem til ihvertfall en gang i mnd LOL!!)

This is a busy time of the year for me, things I have to do in RL, therefore not much minitaure making for me these days. Why I am so busy you can read it here
Meanwhile I have our monthly dollhouse meeting to look forward too. This time we met up at Tone`s place. She has her own little silk- embroidery shop at her home.

Hun hadde ett lite lynkurs for noen av oss som ikke kunne dette fra før. Det var en liten sånn aha opplevelse. Ante ikke at en kunne sy tre forskjellige roser med silkebånd. Man lærer noe nytt hver dag.

I forrige uke hadde jeg minityr-damene på besøk.
Det er som vanlig utrolig gøy og inspirerende.
En av damene ,Tone.Er eier av Bitteliten og har butikk hjemme. Hun
hadde med seg mye kjekt ,broderier og strikking og silkebånd, som vi fikk kjøpe av henne.
Dette ble min fangst. hekle nål str 0,5( den er virkelig liten) og noen heklenøster.
Som dere ser har jeg prøvd meg litt :D

Ville bare vise noe av det jeg har gjort i det siste. Jeg har fått lagt nytt gulv til badet og tapetsert veggene. Tapetet har jeg funnet på en scrappe-butikk. Er ikke sikker enda på om jeg skal beholde de svarte møblene enda....er i tenke boksen enda LOL!!
Mange detaljer gjenstår , men de får komme etterhvert.

This is what I`ve been working on lately. New painted floor and wallpapering. I am not sure if I am going to keep the black bathroom set......maybe I will buy some new ones. The bathrom is not finished yet, some detail still remaines..(like the mirror and toilettpaper LOL!!)

Denne benken har jeg laget av balsa tre og malt og pusset den så den skal se litt slitt ut.
"Treet" i bakgrunnen har jeg laget av en piperrenser.

I made this bench out of balsa wood and then painted it green to match the rom.

Some stuff I `ve ordered from USA.

The counter I `m going to paint, not sure which colour yet, but it is going to be in my Christmas house along with the tinbox (so cute) and the nativity set.

I love Reutters porcelain....and when I saw these, I knew I had to purchase it. And you can see why on the picure below LOL

I`ve got this beautiful cookie jar in RL, standing in my kitchen...and I had to have one for my dollhouse too....cute isn`t it??LOL!!!

A friend of mine from the miniature-club ,Anne-Mari and I decided we wanted to do a swap. We asked a few others that we knew from the internett, and we were so lucky to have Christel whith us.

This was my first time swap, and I had no idea what to make

But this is what I ended up making :D

An apron,potholders and books.

Some of my norwegian readers will probably recognize these books,

since they are very popular in the RL at the moment.

I have read them my self.

I have used my own books to minimize them

And this is what I got in return

And everything is handmade by themeself. I am so impressed by theire work!!

Miniatyrklubben

På mandag denne uken hadde vi nytt møte i dukkehusklubben. Denne gangen var vi hos Signy.

Det er alltid kjekt når vi treffes, og for nesten vær gang vi har hatt møte denne høsten har det kommet nye damer i klubben, også denne gang. Velkommen til Ingunn og Tone :D

Tone er innehaver av en butikk som heter Bitteliten , som syr og broderer. Hun hadde tatt med mye flott i miniatyr- broderier. Hun hadde og strikkepinner og garn til å strikke miniatyrer med. Og jeg må ærligt innrømme det, men vi gikk helt bananas. Der var jo så mye fint.

Dette ble min fangst :D......kunne ha kjøpt mye mer, men regner med at det ikke er siste gang hun tar med seg litt varer til klubben igjen....

En annen gla`nyhet er at vi har funnet oss ett lokal hvor vi kan treffes. Vi er etterhvert blitt så mange at det kan bli litt trangt hos enkelte av oss når vi skal ha treff hjemme hos hverandre. Så nå skal vi ha treff siste onsdagen i måneden på Krabbeloftet i Tananger. Så har du tid og anledning er du hjertelig velkommen til å være med oss. Første møte blir onsdag 30. jan. 2008.

I found this book at a local quiltstore, and I couldn`t resist bying it.

It`s in japanes. I don`t speak the language my self, but the pics are easy to follow.

And of course I had to try it!

I sew some strips in several colour, and then just weave them together. Juhuuu!!!!

I am very pleased by the way it turned out. And I am definitely gonna make some more quilt-blankets for my dollhouse. Jepp,jepp

A club-meeting

We are seven women, that get together once a month for our dollhouse club-meeting. Taking turn at each others homes , this wednesday was my turn to be the hostess. We`re having so much fun. We try to make some things each time we meet and this time I was going to teach them an easy way to make a corset.

I think it went very well, don`t you?

Re-modeling

I have started to redecorate my house. When I first started to build my house, about 6 years ago,I had no plan what so ever, what I wanted to do with it. In the beginning it was the learning and failing method. And a total mix of every thing actually.

This time it will be more like the schabby chic style .

This is going to be the girls room. Now that the flooring is done, I will paint it white, just to get that schabby look

This little fellow is going to help me to redecorate my house. I made him years ago, even before my dollhouse. Isn`t he cute. I might have to find a name for him. Any suggestion??

Miniatyrklubben

Igår var det møte igjen i mini-klubben. Det første møte etter ferien er alltid spennende.

Man må jo høre hva de andre har laget siden sist. Og denne gangen var det ekstra kjekt, for vi fikk 2 nye medlemmer. Velkommen skal dere være,begge to. Gleder meg til å bli kjent med dere!!

Rart å tenke på i begynnelse var vi bare to som begynte å treffast og trodde vi var de eneste som holdt på med denne kjekke hobbyen, og nå er vi hele 7 stykker som treffes en gang i måneden

Som regel pleier vi å lage litt sånn småting når vi treffes , men det ble det ikke noe av denne gang. Vi måtte prate av oss sommerferien først...hehe.

Neste gang er det hos meg. onsd. 26. sept....så hvis der er noen som leser dette og har lyst å være med i klubben...så må du bare ta kontakt. Hadde vært kjempekjekt.

Dette er mitt første hus som jeg kjøpte for en 6-7 år siden.

This is my very first dollhouse that I bought 6-7 years ago.

My plan is to do a little makeover inside.

And perheps make it a bit more cosy outside as well

Dette skal bli til et er julehus.

Butikken nede og kontor oppe, tror jeg.

Heisann.

Ja nå har jeg gått til det skrittet og opprettet en ny blogg. Etter inspirasjon fra Embla fant jeg ut at jeg ville lage en blogg kun for dukkehusene mine. På den måten håper jeg at det skal bli lettere å komme i kontakt med andre miniatyrister i Norge og resten av verden.

Jeg har funnet ut at jeg må ut av Norge, fordi denne hobbyen er så lite utbredt her.
Og som med all hobby, så trenger jeg inspirasjon for å kunne fortsette.
Men jeg håper de som holder på med denne flotte hobbyen her i Norge, og vil gi lyd ifra seg.

Da jeg fikk mitt dukkehus for en 6-7 år siden kjente jeg ingen som holdt på med dette. Derfor ble huset mitt så som så......litt blanding av det jeg fikk fatt i. Men etter hvert som jeg lærte meg mer,traff på andre som hadde dukkehus og ikke minst oppdaget internett og alt det måtte føre med seg, har jeg funnet ut at jeg vil pusse opp huset mitt.....en liten mini-makeover :D
Samtidig så har jeg og fått mitt andre hus, som jeg har tenkt å lage en nissebutikk av.

Jeg har og vært med og opprettet en dukkehus klubb her i Stavanger området. Den eneste klubben i Norge jeg vet om så langt. Vi er fem damer som treffes 1 gang i mnd, og jeg kommer til å skrive om klubben vår så ofte jeg kan og legge ut bilder til inspirasjon for andre miniatyrister.
